    Description

Please read the full description before bidding:
Up for auction is a team-issued Toronto Raptors NBA jersey with Vince Carter name and number. This is not a jersey that you could buy in a store, this is a jersey that was specifically created and given to the Toronto Raptors organization. Due to this I consider this a rare, authentic jersey.
This jersey was originally purchased at a charity auction and subsequently auctioned again as a "game-worn Vince Carter jersey" where I purchased it.
Here are the details of what I believe to be true about this jersey:
This jersey is used and has been worn before, however it is in good condition. The wear primarily shows on the labels pictured.
The jersey was made by Champion specifically for the Toronto Raptors in the 1995-96 season. In the middle of the top label you can see it says "95 96" above the "Exclusively for Toronto Raptors," which indicates it was made for the 1995-96 season. This is the inaugural season of the Toronto Raptors.
The jersey is a size 60, which is very large. Additionally it is a body length + 4 making it very long.
Vince Carter's rookie season was 1998-99.
It is possible, although it seems to me unlikely, that the Raptors could have held onto this jersey for three seasons before issuing it to Vince Carter in his rookie year. Therefore, it is possible (but also highly unlikely) that Vince Carter wore this actual jersey.
Instead, I believe that the Raptors organization had an extra jersey lying around, which they decided to donate to a charity auction. Instead of it being a blank jersey with no name, they put the name and number of their most popular player in order for the jersey to be more marketable.
These are my personal opinions and I can't guarantee the accuracy of my opinions.
